Limited Edition Ornaments by Debra Tritt Kreiger

My friends and family all know this time of year you'll find me painting Christmas ornaments. I started this when our son was young and it is a tradition now! In 2004, I even had an ornament on the White House Blue room Christmas tree and met the first lady Laura Bush! The next year I had one hanging in the Library of Congress. In 2009, I painted one for the Smithsonian Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery.
Recently, I've partnered with Brittle Bark and created a bird series. All the ornaments are hand painted, dated, numbered and signed. This year marks the 5th in the series! The ruby-throated hummingbird is sure to please. I sold out of the bluebird and the chickadee but have a few golden finches from last year. Hurry before they are gone!

 The ornaments are sold at:

"Foiled" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Foiled" 10.5"x7.5" watercolor on 140lb Arches paper

I was fortunate enough to be asked to teach a watercolor class at Mechanicsburg Art Center. Had a wonderful time. I think the class challenged me as much as I challenged them. They wanted a lesson on painting tin foil. This is a still life I set up with a tomato, peppers and tin foil. I did not crinkle the tin foil too much. Just trying to make the reflective light interesting. The class did very well with this!

"Hungry Day" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Hungry Day" 6"'x 4"watercolor on Arches 140lb paper Sold!!

This was a scene outside my studio window last year. This poor little squirrel was feasting on the bird feed I put out for him and the birds during a wintery day. As you can see he was just covered with snow! I just love it when I can show case animals in very real situations. Be kind to our little neighbors as winter approaches.

If you would like to purchase this painting, it will is hanging at Brath & Hughes Gallery in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
