"Remember When" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Remember When" 20"x26" watercolor, artist private collection

Here we are in the holiday season again. Reflecting on all those Christmas past. This is a scene from my past as myself and my siblings celebrated the birth of our youngest brother who was born in December. We did love those P.J's and fluffy slippers! Merry Christmas to all of you! God Bless you all!

"The Blue Hound Barn" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"The Blue Hound Barn" Acrylic on 10"x8" canvas

This is my second painting while plein air painting at the Blue Hound Farm in Lewisberry.
So many places to paint! I could hardly pick a spot! I felt this magnificent barn needed to be painted. It was bathed in the afternoon sun, which warmed me up a bit since it was a bit windy and cool.

"An Opened Gate" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"An Opened Gate" 10"x8" Acrylic painting on canvas.

This past Saturday I spent a sunny windy day on the Blue Hound Farm in Lewisberry with fellow artist plein air painting. I decided to take my acrylics along since it was so windy. This is a view from the lawn looking towards the entrance. The colors in the trees were perfect and the sun was nice and bright. Had a great time and am looking forward to the next time!

"Winter Sunshine" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Winter Sunshine" 5"x7" watercolor on 140lb paper

I just couldn't help myself. Not that I'm pushing winter, but I just loved the way the sun dances across the snow. I really like looking into the sun. Sometimes you get amazing results! The silhouettes of the trees bathing in the warm sunlight gives real texture and interest to this painting.

"Apple Study" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Apple Study" 10"x8" Oil on linen canvas

I had a wonderful private oil painting lesson with Claire Carnell this week. I haven't painted in oils in years and I just wanted to give it a go. I really enjoyed painting this apple. Claire lovingly clipped apples and pears off the trees stems, leaves and all! This fellow made the grade. We had a good time painting together. I'm very pleased with the results!

"Broken #3" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Broken #3" 9.5"x6.25" watercolor on Arches 140lb rough paper

Here is the third in a series called broken. On this painting I tried to give the sand a blue green cast and used the yellows golds and oranges to add interest to the treasures of the sea!

"Salsa" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Salsa" Watercolor 10.5"x8" on 140lb Arches Paper

I just love painting these colorful fruits and veggies. Pushing the color palette is exciting for me. And a bonus was the texture on some of the older peppers and the wonderful sunshine gracing the still life. Hope this brightens your day and inspires you to make some salsa!
