"Black Sand Beauty" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

10x14 watercolor on 300 lb arches paper

This is another favorite painting of mine. The research for this painting came from the Big Island in Hawaii. Like I said before, the research is as much fun as the painting. There are black sand beaches (which are amazing to see), and on top of that I saw my first green sea turtle. They are amazing creatures. The green sea turtle like so many animals are being killed prematurely by pollution in the ocean which they mistake for food (plastic bags that look like jelly fish). We all need to be more mindful. You can see this painting at Brainvessel The Gallery in Hershey.

"Brown Pelican" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

12x18 watercolor on 300lb arches paper

This fellow is one of my favorite paintings. My research came from South Carolina. I always photograph my subjects and he was very co-operative. The research is as much fun as the painting. He was a older bird that I gave a more youthful appearance! The brown pelican is a amazing bird. contact me to purchase at debra@debkreiger.com.

"Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

15x26 watercolor on 300lb arches paper

I believe my inspiration for this painting came from South Carolina. These pelicans were waiting for the fishermen to return with their catches of the day. You can see the painting at Brainvessel The Gallery in Hershey or you can email me at debra@debkreiger.com.
