"Black Sand Beauty" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

This is another favorite painting of mine. The research for this painting came from the Big Island in Hawaii. Like I said before, the research is as much fun as the painting. There are black sand beaches (which are amazing to see), and on top of that I saw my first green sea turtle. They are amazing creatures. The green sea turtle like so many animals are being killed prematurely by pollution in the ocean which they mistake for food (plastic bags that look like jelly fish). We all need to be more mindful.
