Here is the mighty green sea turtle in all it's glory. I have been blessed to meet, photograph and artistically paint these magnificent and gentle giants. They come onto the beaches of Hawaii to bask in the the warm sun. How lucky I am to show case these creatures!

By the sea was inspired by a place in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina called Shem's Creek. Wonderful small inlet where fishing boats go in and out and the birds and dolphins as well as people just love it. What caught my eye was the bright building and the unusual blue sailboat and of coarse the pelican and seagulls!

I painted this green sea turtle from a photo I took from a black sand beach on the Big Island of Hawaii. What a wonderful site to see. She was posing so nicely for me in the afternoon sun. The black sand beach was an amazing site to see. I'm planning on going back to do more research!

This is a little something different and a little humorous. I saw this woman fishing and just knew it was going to be a painting. I was born in Minnesota so I have this secret love of fishing. I just loved all the pink and the manicured painted nails. Not what you usually see when watching people fish! I worked to make the colors and composition come together in harmony. Hope you enjoy!
