This is my quick draw painting from Camp Hill. I had to do some work on this one when I got home. Just didn't have enough time to finish. I think it turned out pretty nice. This is the front entrance to a house on Walnut Street.  I always have to remind myself to simplify! This painting and others will be part of the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters show at the Mechanicsburg Art Center July 12th thru August 2nd.

This is the first plein air painting I did from Cecelia's neighbors back yard garden. What a nice way to kick off Camp Hill plein air. I was really happy with this one and only had to add a few more lights when I got it home.

This is one of the paintings I did while participating in Camp Hill plein air. This was a peaceful place to paint. Very clam and relaxing. I enjoyed my first plein air event, painting along with friends old and new!

This was my first painting of the spring season. I was painting with the SVPAP from Fort Hunter. I was walking in the park looking for a good spot to paint and came upon a gentleman who had just taken a morning walk along the banks of the river. There was a flurry of activity from the seagulls on the river. He said they were feasting on the newly hatched may flies. That was the inspiration for this painting!

Quick Draw Camp Hill 2012

With a lot of encouragement from my painting friends and family I bravely entered and participated in my first plein air quick draw competition! I was happy I finished with a lovely painting that was purchased.

 

Happy to say I've been accepted to participate in the 2013 Camp Hill Plein Air Event being held May 14 -19th.

Can't wait! It should be so much  fun!
