I painted this study of a feather found on the beach in preparation for a larger painting. This rendering was from a photograph taken by a dear friend and given to me for this purpose! Had a really nice day with the Eric and Nancy Olson, friends and family in Port Royal, PA. When I got home all I had to do was add the sunflowers and a few more zinnias. This was a view from the farm looking over to the neighbors farm and these wonderful silos and farm buildings glowing in the sun. There was so many areas to paint I had to make sure I included the zinnias,sunflowers,butterflies and the pond which are a few of many that makes this place magical!

This is a painting I did on Monday from Liz's backyard! How lucky she is! It was a peaceful sunny morning along the Conodoquinet. I was glad to be out with my painting friends from Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters. A short thunder storm went thru and cut out painting short, but I had enough done I just had to put in some details when in the studio.

This is my quick draw painting from Camp Hill. I had to do some work on this one when I got home. Just didn't have enough time to finish. I think it turned out pretty nice. This is the front entrance to a house on Walnut Street.  I always have to remind myself to simplify! This painting and others will be part of the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters show at the Mechanicsburg Art Center July 12th thru August 2nd.

"Pelican" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

 I met this fellow while on vacation in South Carolina. They are fascinating creatures. He sat very still and I was able to observe a lot of the details and coloring of this bird. Even though I believe he/she was an older bird it was still very beautiful. Another reason to preserve the wetlands where these birds nest.
