Painted at the West Fairview boat launch recently with friends from the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters. It was a beautiful morning and moma duck was taking her family for a swim.  Here is one of many inspired paintings from Maui! This green sea turtle came right up to us as we were sitting on the beach.  He/she has been painted to be forever enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. Just watching them get out of the water is amazing. I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to see them like this. I can say the turtle conservation efforts seem to be working. Aloha!!

This is how I spent my Birthday this year! Just me and my hubby and the green sea turtles of Hawaii! I was visited by many green sea turtles on the beach of Maui! Happy to say there were lots of turtles, which is a good sign. This is a gift to my husband. Ten years ago we woke up to this view of Diamond Head in Oahu. What a awesome sight! The bonus was the two love birds sitting there enjoying the view. This has been on my to do list for a long time. It was challenging for me, but a good lesson in atmospheric painting!!
