This is a painting I started plein air and finished in the studio. I am experimenting with my palette and painted this with very limited colors. I was more aware of composition and design while out in the field this time. This is a scene from Vivians farm house in Dillsburg. I loved this barn as soon as I saw it!

Introduction to watercolors by Debra Tritt Kreiger

This is the second painting I completed in preparation to teach an introduction to watercolors. My idea is to give a three hour playful journey into the different techniques and concepts of the watercolor world. The workshop will be held at Brath & Hughes Gallery, 41 W. I've been doing some research to find out what some of my shells are called and where they might have come from. The shell posted is in the cowrie family. This particular one I believe is called a eyed cowrie found in the pacific. So many different shells! Hope you like.
