What a beautiful bird of prey the hawk is. I get wonderful pictures of them right in my own backyard! I am thinking this one could be a sharp shinned hawk, but I am no expert. He/She is magnificent! you can view/purchase this painting at Brainvessel Hershey the gallery or e-mail me at debra@debkreiger.com.

Watercolor 11"x15" on arches watercolor paper

My favorite past time is photographing local wildlife and turning it into a painting. This is one of our neighborhood hawks which I photographed on top of my husbands car.  I've placed him out in the country where he looks pretty happy. I believe this is a sharp-shinned Hawk which looks similar to a Coopers Hawk. Just a fabulous looking bird of prey! If you'd like to purchase this painting please e-mail me at debra@debkreiger.com.
