This was a demonstration piece I worked on for the Franklin County Art Alliance in Chambersburg. What a wonderful group. It was a good experience for me to share how my mind creates the paintings and so on. I have painted this horned owl a couple of times. This is a Great Horned Owl I met at at a birds of prey show at Kings Gap State Park. This will be the second time I've painted him. I've put him in a winter scene. I'm very pleased with this painting. I am studying wildlife art with Jason Tako and he has been very helpful and informative. I used my own photo and composed a nice composition. I just love it when everything comes together. Hope you like him!
