"Honu" which is the Hawaiian name for the green sea turtle has been juried into the Art Center School and Galleries 2014 Open Juried Exhibit. It has also received a Honorable Mention in the professional category! Very grateful for the opportunity to showcase my work! Opening reception is Friday April 4th from 6 to 8pm.  This Bumblebee watercolor painting was auctioned off at the YWCA's  kickoff reception at the City House Bed & Breakfast in Harrisburg last Friday night.  The painting has a wonderful new home and all the proceeds will benefit the YWCA's emergency shelter & housing programs. A huge thank you to the YWCA's committee members and the owner and staff at City House Bed & Breakfast and all the sponsors for a wonderful reception. The image of the painting is being used on the Cards with Heart fundraiser program. Look for these cards to be sold in various areas. Brath & Hughes Gallery in Mechanicsburg will be carrying them. The cost of a card which is 10$ will provide shelter for a woman and her child for one night. I'm very grateful to have an opportunity to showcase my artwork in such a positive light!

This is the new addition to the family. Her name is Eva Ripley Kreiger. We rescued her from our back yard this winter. She was half starved and cold and bonded with my husband right away Just could not let her go!. She is really happy to be inside and is eating and playing well.She is about a year old. She has beautiful long grey hair with a white bib and white paws. Still working on convincing the other two cats that she is ok!

This was a class demo I did to show the students how to paint brass. I loved this bucket because it had so many interesting flaws which gave it great character.
