Sometimes I'm not happy with a painting so I let it sit for awhile. Then I proceed to work on areas I wasn't happy with. This is a painting I have adjusted a few times. I think this is it. I'm happy with the feel of things now and I can move on! I'm dreaming of a soft warm beach!

This is a work in progress sneak peek..This is part of a large watercolor painting 18"x28". I'm working on this painting for a juried show. I didn't want to show the whole painting until it is complete and photographed properly. It's that time of year! I thought it would be a good choice to post this painting since the Pennsylvania State Farm Show in Harrisburg is in gear. I just love to walk the show and get a real close up and personal view of all the farm animals, people and food. It was lunch time and these fellows were very hungry!

I finally finished this painting of a farm turkey who lives at the Blue Hound Farm in Lewisberry. While a few fellow painters and myself were painting at the farm he fluffed himself out and just walked around trying to get everyone's attention. He definitely deserved to have a painting done of himself!

It's that time of year! I've been busy painting my 2011 chickadee ornaments. I will be at Art and Soul Gallery, 2nd floor of the West Shore Farmers Market in Lemoyne on Saturday Dec 10 from 9:30 - 11:30 to personalize any ornament you buy. This is a limited edition. All glass ornaments are hand painted, numbered, signed and dated. When they are gone they are gone!
