"Albino Cowries and Sand Dollar" 5.5"x7.5" watercolor on 140lb Arches Paper

These are shells I have in my collection. I've been trying to research what they are and I believe this one is a albino cowrie. Pure white with golden insides it's a beauty!

Study is 10x8 Acrylic on canvas

I took a landscape workshop with Jason Tako and this is the painting I did from a photograph from the Amity Hall boat launch were we painted last year. Very much enjoyed the workshop and learned a great deal about composing landscapes etc.

"Cowries" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Cowries" 5.5" x7.5" watercolor in 140lb Arches Paper

I've been doing some research to find out what some of my shells are called and where they might have come from. The shell posted is in the cowrie family. This particular one I believe is called a eyed cowrie found in the pacific. So many different shells! Hope you like.

"Beach Day" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Beach Day" 18"x28" on 300lb Arches Paper

This is a larger scale painting I developed from my reference pictures of many trips to the Atlantic Coast. I love this one chair just peacefully basking in the sunlight and the wonderful shadow it cast. I incorporated different colors reflecting off the sand and the wonderful beached seashells. The footprints lead you out onto the sun drenched horizon where seagulls are playing.

Broken#3 by Debra Tritt Kreiger

Broken#3, 9.5"x6.25" watercolor on 140lb paper

Sometimes I'm not happy with a painting so I let it sit for awhile. Then I proceed to work on areas I wasn't happy with. This is a painting I have adjusted a few times. I think this is it. I'm happy with the feel of things now and I can move on! I'm dreaming of a soft warm beach!
